His favorite pasttime

His favourite pasttime is a 1914 in film American comedy film starring Charlie Chaplin. Charlie gets drunk in the bar. He steps outside, meets a pretty woman, tries to flirt with her, only to retreat after the woman's father returns. Returning to the bar, Charlie drinks some more and engages in rogue behaviors with others. He finally leaves the bar, sees the woman leaving, follows the woman home, and proceeds to make a nuisance of himself, eventually getting kicked out of the house.

An early sound film adventure/melodrama in which a dirigible expedition to the South Pole is complecated by a love triangle. Surprisingly good production values and visual FX for a Tiffany production. However the audio FX are very primitive. Directed by Edward Sloman.

The woman in green is a 1945 American Sherlock Holmes film starring Basil Rathbone as Holmes and Nigel Bruce as Dr. Watson, with Hillary Brooke as the woman of the title and Henry Daniell as Professor Moriarty. The film is not credited as an adaptation of any of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Holmes tales, but several of its scenes are taken from "The Final Problem" and "The Adventure of the Empty House." The painted desert (1931 in film) is a film released by RKO Radio Pictures, produced by E. B. Derr, it was directed by Howard Higgin, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Tom Buckingham. It starred low-budget Western (genre) stars William Boyd (actor) (in his pre-Hopalong Cassidy days) and Helen Twelvetrees, and featured a young Clark Gable in his sound film debut. The picture was shot mostly on location in Arizona.
